Pile-driver

There was once a notorious American star of the wrestling ring by the name of Bruiser Brody. He scared those around him as much as this muscle-bound result of extreme automotive tuning.

Wider would hardly be possible. The rear view demands respect and the in-house fabricated exhaust system blares a warning sound.

The body-kit lifts the BMW SAC into a different realm… the track of the former stock X6 is now a whole 50 millimetres wider. The re-styled low-slung front fascia is dominated by a massive air intake with smaller ones on each side. The front and rear wheel housings are hugely flared and linked by broad side-skirts and door alcoves. The back of the X6 has also been re-worked with the diffuser completing the pile-driver look. Finally there are little visual flourishes like the head-light housings, the running lights and the almost modest rear spoiler.

The high-end milled aluminium ‘Golden Calf’ three-piece rims sized at the front 11x23 and at the back incredibly 12.5x23.

Knee drop

The tuners at CLP have indulged in really low blows. How low? Well the Bruiser lurks menacingly on huge ‘Golden Calf’ high-end milled aluminium rims from the manufacturer Diamond, lacquered and layered as extravagantly as the huge wheel arches of the extreme X6 merit. At the front the wheels are sized 11x23 and at the back emphatically 12.5x23. New suspension components deliver the knee drop with shortened spring struts lowering the body, the better to show off the wheels.

The Bruiser body-kit will cost 9,990 Euros, the ‘Golden Calf’ wheel will put another 9,880 on the invoice.

The knock-out blow always comes last. The body-kit offered by CLP Automotive will cost exactly 9,990 Euros, not including the price of montage, charges for vehicle registration amendment or value added tax. And if the buyer also wants the exclusive Diamond wheel set then there will be another 9,880 on the invoice. With outlays of this order the cost for the extreme tyres which these monster milled rims call for is hardly worth mentioning.
