Power surplus
The fact is that Edo Competition saw the stock 550 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque provided on the family-friendly colossus built in Zuffenhausen as inadequate and resolved to boost the output in a major way.

- The result is no less than 700 horsepower and a gargantuan 880 Nm of torque from the twin-turbo V8 instead of the 550 horsepower and 750 Nm of the standard version.
The result is no less than 700 horsepower and a gargantuan 880 Nm of torque. This is absolutely enough push to propel two tons of automobile to a speed of a hundred kilometres an hour in a sporting 3.5 seconds, three tenths faster than the standard version. And to hit 200 from a standing start the elapsed time is 11.4 seconds, while for this the unmodified Panamera requires 13.5 seconds. There is still an electronic limiter to constrain the car’s maximum velocity… but this only takes charge at 340 kilometres an hour! To give the Panamera this kind of extraordinary performance the team at Edo Competition have fitted new chargers for the twin-turbo V8 and installed their own manifolds, sports air filter and catalytic converter, stainless steel exhaust system and as a final flourish re-programmed the motor management electronics.

Serious wheels
To get all of this power effectively onto the tarmac Edo have put in a lowering module to bring the sports sedan 3 centimetres closer to the roadway. This also enhances the car’s look, particularly when combined with 22 inch racing wheels in carbon look. For the Panamera’s interior Edo Competition offer almost unlimited possibilities for individualization. Leather, Alcantara and many other finest materials can be combined to create a harmonious interior ambience. More information can be found on the Edo Competition website.
