- A sports exhaust system in X6 'M' look with four 100 millimetre end tubes lets the engine breathe freely.
This Bavarian bully was designated X6 xDrive 40d originally but now hits the road as the Lumma CLR X 650… a craggy monster with ribbing and abundant air intakes and a martial sporting allure. The front spoiler fender has double LED headlights and daylight running lights added and the air scoops are enormous. The fender at the back has been similarly transformed. All of this is complemented in ‘race look’ by bodywork broadening dubbed ‘Brake Cooling Optic’. To top off the visual modification Lumma has given the headlight arrays housings in contrasting matte black, the tail-lights have acquired darkened lenses and there are diverse stripings on offer, too.

Less extravagant are the wheels, in-house fabrications going under the name “Lumma Racing CLR 22”. These are sized 10x22 and 12x22 respectively, hefty dimensions. The fitting tyres are in 295/30 and 335/25-22 format. The CLR X 650 has an even more aggressive look with the body lowered by 40 millimetres. The people at Lumma seem to have a way with colour schemes which is best described as individualistic, otherwise it is hard to explain the yellow finish of the brake saddles.

- The car’s interior is dominated by black and white and most of the surfaces are given a leather treatment with diamond quilting and contrast stitching.
In the stock X6 the three litre diesel engine put out 306 horsepower and a serious 600 metres of torque. But the Lumma engineers do not believe in half measures and have made a whole raft of modifications. The revision of the motor management electronics boost output to 340 horsepower and 670 Newton metres of torque. A sports exhaust system, in X6 'M' look with four 100 millimetre end tubes, lets the engine breathe freely. Then Lumma took charge of the car’s interior where everything is clearly in black and white and most of the surfaces are given a leather treatment with diamond quilting and contrast stitching. Lumma sports seats, colour coordinated instrument displays, the aluminium pedal set and even the seat belts have been given the unmistakeable Lumma design touch.
