A comprehensive offer
Porsche models are famed for many things, but not for having a good range of features on board as standard. But now that the end of production for the 997 looms, fans have a chance to grab a really well fitted out automobile for an inclusive price. The Porsche 911 Black Edition will be built only 1,911 times and can be ordered either as a coupé or a convertible. For the basic price of 85,538 and 96,843 Euros respectively the cars to be delivered from April offer a lot for the money.

First come, first served
The drive train for the 997 Black Edition is based on that of the Carrera. The 3.6 litre boxer motor produces 345 horsepower and pushes the black beauty to a top speed of 289 kilometres an hour. Zero to a hundred takes 4.9 seconds and the averaged fuel consumption is stated to be 10.3 litres (with PDK double-clutching: 0-100 in 4.7 seconds and 9.8 litres consumption). Options are the Active Suspension Management (PASM), a sports suspension system and the mechanical rear-axle inter-wheel differential lock. Porsche fans shouldn’t delay, for the 1,911 units of the Black Edition, well priced considering the level of equipment on offer, will be in great demand. Although those who prefer to wait will have their patience rewarded at year’s end when the next generation of the 911 sees the light of day.
