The Aventador against the forces of nature
When a new bull struts from the arena at Sant’ Agata it is always a very special event. It took Lamborghini ten years to come up with a successor to the Murciélago. The new über-Lambo wears the appellation Aventador LP 700-4. As ever it is indeed the name of a famed bull that the Audi subsidiary have taken to give the super sports car its identity. And the suffixes of the car’s designation tell their own story… 700 horsepower pushed to all four wheels. In comparison with the predecessor model the power-to-performance ratio is reduced to 2.25 horsepower per kilo, and in spite of ten percent more performance the fuel consumption has dropped by twenty percent. In just 2.9 seconds the Aventador reaches a hundred kilometres an hour and the top speed is around 350. The head of Lamborghini, Stephan Winkelmann, claims that in design and technology the new car has leaped two generations.
In order to give the world an impression of what the new Aventador means the Italians gave the creative agency Philipp and Keuntje an important assignment. Using all of the tricks of audio-visual automotive journalism they have made a film which puts the car into a striking fantasy world which would do justice to any high-definition video game. See it for yourself, see the visual spectacle that results when you have a cool location, brilliant car photography and cutting edge special effects.
What does the driver of a 700 horsepower Lamborghini Aventador miss? More power, that’s what he misses! But DMC, the international tuner based in the city of Düsseldorf has a solution.
From the furthest reaches of cyberspace they appear! The images that Lamborghini were hoping they could save in order to make a big splash in Geneva have been leaked: Here are the first shots of the raging bull named Aventador.
Wheelsandmore have additions to their program… the ‘Rabbioso’ and the ‘Perfetto’. If this makes you think of a pizza menu or of Dolce Vita you would not be far wrong… these are pimped variants of the Lamborghini Aventador und Ferrari 458 Spider.
Finally. Lamborghini can now gracefully retire its former raging bull, the Murciélago. The successor is the Aventador and is, in spite of the 700 horsepower on call, a beast that can be called much tamer than before. If the driver is so inclined.
