24 hours 2012: Two Audis triumphant
There was constant change at the head of the field in the 24 hours race on the ‘Ring this year but finally it was the Phoenix Team with the Bilstein-Audi R8 LMS which took the checkered flag ahead of the Mamerow Audi. The battle for third place could hardly have been more intense but for BMW it was twenty-four hours of bitter disappointment.

The 39th edition of the marathon race round the Nürburgring now belongs to the past. Drivers have recovered from their fatigue, cars are no longer held in the parc fermé. For the fifth time in six years the overall winner was the Manthey-Porsche team.
